Senior Fund Accountant - Hedge Funds
- We are currently hiring at the above levels within the organization. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a particular focus on attention to detail and service standards.
- The principal responsibility for the job is to oversee and assist in the client service of our hedge fund administration clients.
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- The Business Development role is clientfacing and requires the following functions:
- Ensure timely and accurate NAV calculations on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
- Reports to the Account Manager and Senior Account Manager
- Processing of security and cash transactions for portfolios
- Reconciliation of the portfolio from broker to inhouse systems
- Responding to client enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist management with special projects
- Ensure a timely and accurate delivery of the core service and product, Fund Accounting and Transfer agency
- Ensure all deliverables are met on a timely and accurate basis
- The willingness to work overtime and public holidays when required
- Completing partner/investor allocation calculations, including incentive and management fee calculations.
- In some cases, supporting the transfer agency/investor services functions pertaining to their funds or providing the service solely
- Preparing, analysing, and reviewing periodic financial statements and keeping up to date with changes in applicable GAAP/IFRS standards
- Managing audit process and assisting auditors/other fund participants and advisers
- Ad hoc projects
Skills Required:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Ability to work towards and meet agreed deadlines
- Paxus, Geneva, Investran or eFront experience would be an advantage
- Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements and/or subsequent closes is a plus
- Highly organized and motivated individual with an acute attention to detail
- Selfstarter who volunteers for new opportunities and projects
- Ability to manage complex accounting structures
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
