CLIENT:

Our client is a cybersecurity company that offers various services (such as penetration testing, monitoring, security assessments, etc.) and operates worldwide. They have recently acquired various other companies and are in the process of unifying tools and processes among their recently bought business units.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The client is looking to incorporate additional team members to strengthen and enhance their own internal teams for supporting and improving the infrastructure of their main customer portal and the various services offered within it.

The project teams are small of 45 individuals

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's team in the delivery of activity that will drive the next phase of their business growth. This role will assist in changing their pipeline and delivery processes from current legacy processes to automated development and delivery. The aim is to enable them to pipeline our environments from development right through to production with a high degree of automation, resilience, and efficiency.
A key role of the Senior DevOps Engineer will be to advise on the processes and tools that will be used.

For the purposes of understanding they are considering or using today:

AWS, GCP, Ansible, Ubuntu, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Helm, Boto3, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize, ArgoCD, Bitbucket Pipelines, Packer, CloudFormation, Terraform, Vagrant, SonarQube and Nexus.

TECHNOLOGY STACK:

AWS services, microservices, and integrations with various other tools/services.
Responsibilities
Automating SaaS workloads across a variety of cloud providers
Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
Test and improve implemented designs
Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
Handle infrastructure & code deployments in all environments
Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve in terms of performance and cost
Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
Manage CI and CD tools
Document and design processes; update existing processes
Work with InfoSec to harden production platforms

Requirements:

Minimum 23 years of experience in a DevOps role
Experience in managing Kubernetes/Docker clusters
Experience with cloud deployment environments such as AWS esp Cloudformation, S3, EC2, VPC (familiarity with MSK useful)
Proficiency with Helm
Knowledge and a solid understanding of YAML
Good working knowledge of source control (Git, Bitbucket)
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies
Ability to adapt to changing environments
Good English

Nice to have
