Job Description:

We are currently looking for a talented Software Systems Engineer with Operations and SRE experience to join our Technology Operations and SRE team.

The team is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of Sabre eCommerce systems which includes system ownership, CI/CD and automation, infrastructure stability, monitoring, alerting, security, support of production environment and configuration management.

Sabre eCommerce solutions will be the main access point to Sabre services for Airline customers and 3rd party tools. We employ latest technologies and practices to handle high volume of transactions supporting millions of traveling passengers daily.

Duties & Responsibilities:

An individual with deep passion for innovation and performance, to work in the Operations /SRE team
Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructureascode
Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
Responsible in setting up and creating AWS and GCP deployments, administration, Operations and maintenance
Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
Have oncall responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team
Mentoring and guiding the team members

Job Requirements

Education:
B.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent

Experience: 5+ years of DevOps experience in a Linux environment, 3+ years of experience with either GCP or AWS

Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of microservices and related architectures
Strong experience with Red Hat Linux; must feel comfortable with scripting in bash, Python
Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Ansible, TeamCity or Jenkins, Git
Handson expertise in Cloud platform, managing cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform

; Amazon Web Services
)

Working experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes)
Experience with templating frameworks like Terraform, CloudFormation
Understanding of DNS/Firewalls/Load balancing and network design
Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
Experience with complex, highavailability systems, and Capacity Planning and Change Management
Site Reliability Engineering (Google SRE) experience
Proactive team player with the ability to work in a globally dynamic environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, strong organizational skills
Good written and oral communication skills

Good to have:

Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElasticSearch/Kibana.
AWS and/or GCP Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
Experience with Jenkinsfile pipeline development
