Tomás Maurente

Hi! I'm Tomás, a 23-year-old computer engineering student and Bachelor's degree holder in Audiovisual Engineering from Universidad Católica del Uruguay. My qualities include being responsible, self-sufficient, proactive, a great team player, and consistently aiming to contribute to a proper working environment. On top of that, I always find myself looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow as a professional.

Work Experience
Jr Android Developer.    2022-2023
Developed Mercado Libre app for one year, gaining extensive experience in app architecture, layout design and rigorous testing.
Crafted user-friendly interfaces and excelled in a high-demand team environment focused on excellence.
Developed the migration of DataBinding to ViewBinding for the Home and Products screens.
Created, migrated, and removed libraries from the app using Gradle.
Created new components (Meliplus propaganda) that were successfully added and used in production.
Created JSON response models for the new components, working side by side with the backend team.
Fixed the Talkback function of the majority of the components.
Optimized the rendering of the general app and its components.
Used MVVM architecture.
Migrated Java classes to Kotlin.
Tested components using Mockito, JUnit, Mockito 5, AndroidX, and Espresso.
Worked under Scrum.
 

RPA Developer.   2022
I developed bots in the countable field which substitutes employees in procesess that were repetitive, such as web researching
and excel tasks. The technologies used were PowerAutomate and Automation Anywhere
Developed and implemented RPA solutions to automate repetitive financial tasks for clients such as OCA and CUTSA.
Presented the projects to the clients in one-on-one meetings.

Courses and Projects
During the course, several applications were developed where I perfected my good programming practices, gained deep
knowledge about Android, utilized Material Design, among other Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) practices.
Implemented innovative features using Kotlin, Retrofit, Internal Storage and Room to enhance user experience.

Advanced Master Android: Programming Patterns with Kotlin
Developed an Android app that registers reservations of a parking lot.
Developed Android apps using Java and Kotlin, following Clean Architecture principles in a team-based environment
Implemented RESTful APIs using Retrofit, Room and LocalStorage for data retrieval.
Collaborated with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces.
Tested and debugged the applications to ensure functionality and optimize performance using Mockito, JUnit, AndroidX.
